Helping Federal Employees Retire With Confidence and Enjoy the Moments That Matter Most
About Brandon Dimicelli
A Life Built Around the Moments That Matter
On many weekends in New Braunfels, you will find Brandon Dimicelli standing on the sidelines of a football field, volleyball court, or soccer field. Not as a spectator, but as a proud father watching his kids compete. Sometimes it is Nick battling on the football field. Other weekends it is Sophia competing with her school volleyball team. And often it is Riley racing down the soccer field while her mom, Kayla, coaches from the sideline. For Brandon, those moments represent what life is really about. Time with family. Watching your kids grow. Being present for the experiences that matter. It is also what shaped Brandon’s philosophy about retirement and financial planning. In Brandon’s view, the real goal of financial planning is not simply building wealth. It is creating the freedom to enjoy life’s most important moments.

Financial Advisor, Coach, Father of Three
For Brandon Dimicelli, success has never been measured simply by numbers on an investment statement. To him, success is measured in time. Time spent with family, shared experiences, and the freedom to enjoy life fully. It is the same reason he is passionate about helping people plan for retirement. When retirement is done right, it allows people to focus less on financial uncertainty and more on the people, experiences, and opportunities that truly make life meaningful.
Brandon lives in New Braunfels, Texas with his wife Kayla and their three children, Nick, Sophia, and Riley. Family is the center of everything he does, and that mindset strongly influences the way he approaches both life and his work with clients. The Dimicelli household is an active one. Much of their family life revolves around youth sports, competition, and supporting their kids as they grow and develop through athletics. Weekends often mean early mornings, folding chairs on the sidelines, and long days at football fields, volleyball courts, and soccer complexes around Central Texas.
A Competitive Family
Brandon’s son Nick has played football since he was four years old. For many of those years Brandon coached him through the New Braunfels Junior Cougars youth football program, a member organization of the Texas Youth Football Association. Coaching youth football became far more than just teaching plays and game strategy. It was about mentoring young athletes, teaching discipline, leadership, and teamwork, and helping boys grow into confident young men.
Nick’s teams have had great success over the years, winning several tournaments and championships within the organization. His passion for the game continues to grow, and he has expressed a desire to one day become a high school or college football coach.
Nick’s twin sister Sophia brings that same competitive spirit in her own way. She is an honors student who enjoys volleyball and plays on her school team. While she is still deciding how serious she wants to be about the sport long term, she loves the game and the friendships and experiences that come with it. Their youngest daughter Riley plays soccer and brings incredible energy and enthusiasm to the field. Riley’s team has enjoyed tremendous success under the leadership of Kayla, who serves as the head coach of the team in New Braunfels.
Kayla’s teams have been remarkably competitive, going several seasons nearly undefeated with only a single loss during that stretch. In addition to soccer, Riley also loves gymnastics and looks forward to competing one day. Her confidence and willingness to try new things have been exciting for Brandon and Kayla to watch as she continues to grow. Competition, teamwork, and supporting each other are values that run throughout the entire Dimicelli household.
Family, Business, and Working with His Father
Another unique part of Brandon’s story is working alongside his father, Frank Dimicelli, who founded the firm in 2006. Working together has allowed Brandon and his dad to share experiences that many families never have the opportunity to enjoy. Over the years they have watched each other grow, not only in business but also in family life. Through the advisory practice they have built together, Brandon and Frank have had the opportunity to travel, attend industry events, and spend time pursuing shared interests such as hunting in South Texas. Those experiences have strengthened both their professional partnership and their father son relationship. Both Brandon and Frank genuinely love the work they do and the opportunity to help clients navigate important financial decisions.
Marriage and Partnership
Brandon and Kayla share a strong partnership built around family, hard work, and creating meaningful experiences together. Kayla built a successful career in the real estate and escrow industry, where she developed a reputation for organization, attention to detail, and helping clients navigate complex transactions. More recently she accepted a role with a mortgage lending company as a Relationship Development Manager, where she focuses on building partnerships and strengthening relationships within the real estate and mortgage community. Together Brandon and Kayla have built a life centered on family, community, and shared experiences.
Travel and Experiences
Travel is another passion for the Dimicelli family. Brandon and Kayla believe travel is one of the best ways to create lifelong memories and expose their children to different cultures and experiences. The family recently enjoyed a memorable trip throughout Italy visiting Rome, Sorrento, Florence, and Venice. They also enjoy traveling throughout the United States and internationally, including Maui, Lake Tahoe, and frequent visits to Reno, Nevada where Kayla grew up and where her father and brother still live. Mexico has also become a favorite destination for family vacations. As a family, they enjoy exploring new places, experiencing great food, and spending time outdoors, including hiking together whenever they travel.
Life Outside the Office
When he is not working with clients or attending his kids’ sporting events, Brandon enjoys hunting trips in South Texas, staying active, planning travel, and spending time with friends over great food and a good bourbon. He enjoys playing golf and especially appreciates the opportunity to play great courses while traveling for advisor conferences and business trips. Brandon also enjoys deep sea fishing and has had the opportunity to fish in some incredible locations. A recent highlight was a trip to Curaçao in February 2025, where he caught a bucket-list sailfish. Closer to home, Brandon enjoys playing pickleball with friends on many Friday evenings at the neighborhood courts in New Braunfels.
The Dimicelli home is also a place where friends and families frequently gather. Brandon and Kayla enjoy hosting weekend get togethers with friends and their kids, often centered around grilling, good wine, and time spent together. As a family, they also enjoy spending time outdoors and going on hikes together, especially while traveling. Whether it is exploring national parks or scenic trails, those shared experiences are some of their favorite memories.
Recently, the Dimicelli family added two new members to the household, Jax, a black lab puppy, and Hana, a German Shorthaired Pointer. Hana is named after the Road to Hana in Maui, a trip the family recently enjoyed together. Both puppies were eight weeks old as of March 2026 and have already brought even more energy and excitement into an already active home. Brandon is a lifelong University of Texas Longhorns fan, a devoted Dallas Cowboys supporter, and grew up cheering for the San Antonio Spurs, a team he will always root for. Compass Financial Group is proud to support youth athletics and community programs throughout the region, including the New Braunfels Junior Cougars, youth baseball programs, and the San Antonio Rodeo Calf Scramble.
A Relationship Driven Approach
At the core of everything Brandon does are a few simple values: family, loyalty, hard work, and building meaningful relationships. Because in Brandon’s view, financial planning is not all about money. It is about helping people build a life that allows them to spend time with the people who matter most. Traveling, pursuing passions, enjoying retirement, and spending time with their children and grandchildren. And when Brandon is not meeting with clients, you will likely still find him on a sideline somewhere, cheering on his kids and appreciating the kinds of moments he works every day to help his clients experience in their own lives.
